A blog to gather up all those tumbleweeds rolling ’round the dusty annals of a twenty-something’s mind, with a specific focus on Japanese pop culture and its relevant contexts.

I have an insatiable penchant for melodramatic shoujo series, and the blog’s title ‘through a glass’ is a humorous riff on an aesthetic staple which involves ambiguously queer characters mournfully gazing out windows, with bonus points going for rain or flowers. I’m keeping track! Also refers to the excellent Bergman film Through a Glass Darkly, the act of discovering a new world beyond the looking glass, etc. You know, all that good stuff. For now the tentative plan is to post two write-ups a month – sound the alarms if I go above that quota because oh my, being productive?!

If you’d like to get in touch feel free to leave a comment, e-mail nanairoblog@hotmail.com, or follow my twitter @nanairocosmos. MAL is @nanairobutton if you happen to be into that sort of thing.

Hi! Can you please tell me where did you watch Haikara-san ga Tooru? I have wanted to watch that anime for years, but I haven’t been able to find all the episodes.
